FUN GAMES + DJ IDEAS
Group activities are a major part of our Dare 2 Dance DJ show (no cheesy stuff). The goal is to have 100% crowd participation. Whether party people are performing on the dance floor or cheering in the background, our DJs in Central Pennsylvania and surrounding areas try to give everyone a role in the festivities. Here are our top 10 group activities:
The Cha-Cha Slide
An instant classic with the youths, it’s gaining popularity with adults too…It gets everyone on the dance floor…enough said!
Electric Slide
Who doesn’t know how to do this legendary square dance? Our DJ Dance team can teach you this dance if you need help.
The Train
Everyone get in a line behind a ‘leader’ and goes for a bumpy ride around the room to the Quad City DJs huge hit…don’t forget to say Choo-Choo!…You can get multiple trains going once you get good! Our DJ Dance team can lead this one too.
Soul Train Line
This is fun & easy because it can be done without interrupting the music…everyone gets in two single-file lines and each person takes a turn dancing in the middle. Our DJ Dance team can make this happen for you.
Snowball
Use this game to get people on the dance floor. Select a good slow song and all the girls get to dance with whoever they want. Then it’s the guys’ turn. Once a few people hit the dance floor, it gathers momentum (like a snowball) and the next thing you know everyone is dancing!
Limbo
How low can you go? It still works!
Musical Chairs
What a great game…and it’s even better with a cool DJ spinning the hits in the background!
Coke vs. Pepsi
This is a popular game because everyone old and young can play. Two lines across the dance floor, 1 Coke and 1 Pepsi. When one name is called that side runs to the other side and sits on the knee of their partner, the last ones there are out.
Hula Hoops
There’s something about hula hoops and young people that just clicks. They go together like peanut butter and jelly. Have your Dare 2 Dance DJ hand out a bunch of hoops and let’s see who can hula the longest!
Mummy Wrap
Everybody finds a partner. One will be the wrapper and the other will be the wrappie. The first team that makes a mummy by rolling toilet paper around the wrappie from head to toe wins.
